Occupational Therapists help patients to practice and improve the skills of daily living including dressing, bathing, preparing and eating a meal, maintaining a home, and returning to living in the community.
Our Homeward Bound Program provides:
Important hands-on experience in the full-scale bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, laundry, and garden. Also, prepare for your return to the community in the shopping, travel and putting green areas,
- Critical Assessment of the patient’s safety, judgment and endurance.
- Balance, Mobility, Arm Strength, Coordination and Range of Motion training and techniques.
- Discharge Preparation and services such as a home visit, family training and support, and a home exercise program to make the transition back into the community a smooth one.
