Planned Giving

Many supporters of the mission of the Brothers of Mercy who were unable to make substantial gifts during their lifetime have made major contributions by naming the Brothers of Mercy as a beneficiary in their will. You may provide for the Brothers of Mercy in your will through a residuary bequest which enables you to leave the Brothers of Mercy the remainder of your estate after you have provided for your heirs. The bequest of a specific amount (in cash, securities and/or property) or even a percentage of your estate are other possibilities for supporting the work and programs of the Brothers of Mercy.

There are many other planned giving options available which may result in significant tax savings. Donations of closely held stock, securities, real estate, life insurance or personal property (art, coins, stamp collections, jewelry, antiques) are some of the more common examples. You may also receive a tax deduction by donating your car, truck, boat trailer, motor home or RV to the Brothers of Mercy Campus Foundation. Please call Foundation Director Peter Eimer, (716) 759-6985 ext. 448 or e-mail Peter at Peter@Brothersofmercy.org for more information or check with your attorney or tax advisor.
